Many
thanks to Race Text
for getting the ball rolling with a generous sponsorship offer.
RACETEXT enables sports events to publish results and
event information, run polls, competitions, auctions and interactive
marketing campaigns to mobile phone users. The service makes events
more engaging for audiences in attendance, extends their reach to audiences
that are not, and increases revenue opportunity for promoters.
Paul Worrall, RACETEXT Founder and Managing Director,
wishes Team Mongolian Job the best of luck and one piece of advice;
"Keep the pedal to the metal!" - www.racetext.net
Next on board the sponsorship bandwagon is Magnecor,
makers of high quality ignition leads. Given the 'specialist' nature
of 15 yr old Fiat Pandas, the company thought it best to custom make
the leads for the car, rather than provide an off-the-shelf solution.
This level of service was truly excellent. Thanks. Whatever the application
- motorsport, performance, marine or family motoring, your engine's
performance will always benefit from a set of Magnecor ignition leads.
Phil de Wit, the Managing Drector of Magnecor UK says "If
I wasn't so busy I'd be doing this thing myself!" He was
also very understanding when we stuck one of his stickers upside down
on the car.
Holpinn Ltd: A limited company offering project assurance
and business consultancy services. Thanks very much indeed for your
generous contribution to the charities.
Many
thanks also to Brakes International for their generosity. They are importers
and distributors of quality braking components and offered us their
support without a moment's hesitation. Many thanks to Richard Bowen
at Brakes Int for his help and for getting such heavy parts to us by
post.

A big thanks to Paul and the guys at Longbridge Tyres who responded
to our plea really quickly and offered to check and refit our tyres
for us. If you're in Birmingham, and you need tyres, then these are
guys to sort you out. Give them a bell on 0121 457 7582.
Many
thanks to Gerald, a top bloke who has donated a new heater matrix to
us, and covered postage of this and a new radiator up to us in just
48hrs. With Gerald's help we might finally conquer the problem of the
leaking Panda. Aaron Radiators are based in London and manufacture/source/repair
radiators for cars. Gerald is going to give us a 'big-ass' sticker,
so we can spread the word across the globe.
John
at IGE has been incredibly generous. He's supplied us with jerry cans,
filler pipes and host of other goodies. Not content with supplying the
one car, he has supplied enough for both Team Mongolian Job cars. Hartle
IGE are based in Essex and Cheshire, but through their excellent website
they can supply industrial garage equiptment throughout the UK.
Big
thanks to Nigel and AVO Performance Suspension for changing our droopy
rear suspension into a robust unit with 22 settings of hardness. The
guys at AVO mentioned that our old dampers looked like they'd already
been to Mongolia, and carefully made us our custom new set. Not only
that, but we have a dashing set of new stickers.
Ring
have really come through for us on this one. It's quite obvious to anyone
that our Panda needs more lights. Ring have very kindly offered to help
out. These are the guys who supply Halfords and a load of other big
stores, so their lighting must be the most popular stuff in the UK.
Not only have they supplied us with some massive lights and a special
secret gizmo, but they've also chucked some more lights for us to sell,
so we can raise more money for the charities.
Julian
really kindly offered to help us out with our front suspension. Balance
are going to supply and fit a pair of shocking yellow Bilsteins for
the fron of the wWhite Panda. This car is going to have the best suspension
ever to grace a Panda. Balance Motorsport supply parts and preparation
services for trackday/fast road/sprint/hillclimb and circuit use. As
a special offer anyone quoting MongolianJob to them when ordering will
get a special discount. If someone places an order via the banner and

Atomiza
is used to supplying its chemical resistant compression sprayers to
the motor trade but usually to clean the exteriors, not the occupants
inside the cars! Atomiza received an email requesting a sprayer to enable
the lads to have a makeshift shower to keep them clean(ish!) on their
travels. As someone who can't survive without two showers daily, Tanya
at Atomiza thought the least she could do is offer a 4-litre sprayer
and some synthetic chamois for drying off afterwards. Atomiza wishes
the teams the best of luck, and hopes that its contribution will make
the journey slightly more pleasant! Atomiza provides chemical resistant
sprayers, triggerheads, bottles, dispensers, vacuum tools, brushes and
a whole range of valeting products including chamois, chamois wringers,
sponges, microfibre cloths, bug sponges, clay bars and much more. Contact
Tanya on 084 5006 6006 or visit the Atomiza website at http://www.atomiza.co.uk.

us with some extreme sleeping bags to keep us alive during cold nights

Darren at Snugpak. www.snugpak.co.uk

A big trans-atlantic thanks to B &
G Equipment Company who were also keen to send us an 'in-car' shower,
in the form of a garden type sprayer. They sent us an excellent 1 gallon
blue device for improvised showering en route. We'll be giving that
to the Blue team - so they can have a shower to match the colour of
their car! B & G do a range of commercial and industrial products
and are very good. Check out their website at www.bgequip.com/

publicity for us. Honestly, I don't think this company could be any
nicer. So, for all your jubilee clip requirements, http://www.jubileeclips.co.uk

us with an excellent split charging system for the panda - enabling
us to separate out essential power use from the main battery and frivolous
power use (for things like DVD players and a kettle, from a second battery.
Their units are simple to fit and come with clear instructions. John
Lowe at Drifgate has already raised funds himself for Send a Cow, and
was keen to help our own charity efforts. He has also provided some
excellent after 'sales' support. Thanks. http://www.dg2k.co.uk/

give us additional RON. They've given us enough for 3,000 miles - which
should help the final third of the journey - when things get bad. Its
like a poor man's turbo, and should see us roar past 30mph to the finish.
Nice one Simon.
