Age:
26
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 16.5 Stone
Mechanical Skills: Limited to what I learnt from watching
The A-Team as boy. So you can expect to see a few modifications to the
Panda, along the lines of compressed-air tank-turret, or a bullet deflecting
steel sheet for the windscreen with slits to see through.
Driving Experience: 9 Years of driving. A couple of
2,000 mile road trips round Europe, a week of posing in a convertible
in the States, and 60 laps round a go-kart track. If the go-karting
is anything to go by my racing weight isn't going to help much in this
1 litre class. In a normal size car my style can be summarised as speed
over substance.
Crashes: 6, 2 weren't my fault, and for one of the
ones that was my fault I wasn't even in the car at the time.
Convictions/Points: 3 Expired, 1 Near Ban (Don't ask).
Currently Driving: BMW 318is Coupe - Ford Escort 1.4l
(For sale)
Language Skills: Schoolboy French and German. I'll
be the first to admit that my Russian and Mongolian aren't really up
to scratch.
Special Skills: The ability to fall asleep whilst in
charge of a speeding car on the motorway.
Goals for the trip: Lose my Special Skills (See above).
Drop a few lbs. Get race fit. Learn my way round the mechanics of a
15 year old banger. See the world. And of course, do a lot of good work
for charity.

Age:
29
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 12.5 Stone
Mechanical Skills: None. Unless calling the AA counts?
Driving Experience: 11yrs. I've managed to wreck my
previous two cars, a Corsa 1.6i Sport (engine wrecked after forgetting
to change cam belt) and Maestro 1.6 (abandoned outside tennis star of
yester-year, Anne Jones's house). Wannabee rally star – I've done go-karts,
formula ford, caterham 7's and off-roading.
Crashes: 1 - entirely my fault, rearranged the back
end of a Fiesta (Luckily I wasn't driving my own car at the time).
Convictions/Points: 0
Currently Driving: Vauxhall Astra
Language Skills: No useful ones. I might be able to
order coffee in France, but will struggle thereafter.
Special Skills: Capable of sleeping in uncomfortable
positions, especially in cars. I can also hold my breath for ages, but
I'm not sure how that helps.
Goals for the trip: To finish. To learn how cars work.
To stay alive and hopefully keep my job. To raise a good pile of cash
for the charities.
